Privacy Policy

CFC Gospel Radio collects no personal data, on iPhone, iPad or Android. This page explains what that means in practice.

01

Who we are Publisher

The CFC Gospel Radio app for iPhone, iPad and Android is developed and published by The KirCompany, LLC on behalf of CFC Gospel Radio, the radio ministry of the Christian Fellowship Council (CFC). Privacy questions: compliance@kirmedia.net. App support: edvardi@kirmedia.net.

02

What we collect Nothing

The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We do not collect, store, sell or share your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, files, listening history, device identifiers, advertising ID or any other personal or sensitive data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

03

What the app connects to Station servers

  • The live stream and song titles. When you listen, or while the app is open, it connects to CFC Gospel Radio's streaming server (operated by our streaming provider) to play audio and show what's on air. Like any internet connection, that server receives your device's IP address in order to send the audio back. The provider may keep standard server logs under its own policy. We don't receive those logs or use them to identify you.
  • Pages you choose to open. If you tap Support or Privacy Policy, the page opens in your browser.
  • Nothing else. The Bible text and the station schedule are built into the app and work offline. All connections use encrypted HTTPS.
04

On your device Stays there

A few settings are saved only on your device and never sent to us: whether the daily verse reminder is on and its time, your Bible translation choice, the song currently shown in the Listen widget, and the list of songs played earlier today (cleared at midnight). Reminders are scheduled by your device; no server sends them.

To choose the Bible translation, the app checks your country on the device: on iPhone and iPad, the country of your App Store account; on Android, the country of your SIM card or mobile network, or your device region. In the United Kingdom the World English Bible is used. This check never leaves your device.

05

Android permissions What each is for

  • Internet and network state: play the stream, show song titles, and reconnect automatically when your connection returns.
  • Foreground service (media playback) and wake lock: keep the radio playing with the screen off and show the playback controls in your notifications and lock screen.
  • Notifications (Android 13 and later): only requested when you turn on the daily verse reminder, and only used for that reminder and the playback controls.
  • Run at startup: re-schedule your daily reminder after the phone restarts, if you turned it on.

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, phone, or any other sensitive permission. On iPhone and iPad, the only permission asked for is notifications, and only when you turn on the reminder.

06

Third parties None receive data

No third party receives personal data from the app. The app includes no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. It uses standard platform libraries from Apple and Google (for example AndroidX and Media3 on Android) to play audio and draw the interface; these run on your device and do not send us your data. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first, ask for your permission in the app where required, and require any such party to protect your data to the same standard as this policy.

07

Google Play Data safety Summary

Our Google Play Data safety answers match this policy: no data collected, no data shared with third parties, data encrypted in transit, and no account to delete. Our App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected.

08

Security Protection

All connections the app makes use HTTPS. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is no account or database of yours that could be exposed.

09

Retention and deletion Your choices

We keep no personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. You can turn the daily reminder off in the app or in your device settings, and deleting the app removes everything it saved on your device. You're welcome to write to compliance@kirmedia.net with any privacy question or request.

10

Children General audience

The app is made for a general audience and is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes Effective 2026-10-31

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
